Streamline connected device rollouts, from provisioning on a network to activating additional IoT services
With Partners API you can pre-provision a fleet of devices to a number of LPWAN networks, giving your customers a hassle-free activation experience that results in an immediate operational device. With partner account you can use Device types and Activations services to create and manage number of activation codes to make easier device rollouts.
It’s available for all partner accounts in AllThingsTalk.
Hardware builders of connected devices can apply a single methodology for any type of device on any type of network. Field engineers, customers and end-users can use a hassle-free device rollout method without having in depth knowledge of all possible devices and networks.
You are developing web or mobile apps for field engineers, customers or end-users.
Before you start using Partners API you need to get a Partner account.
Visit AllThingsTalk Partner+ program page on our website for more information and how to subscribe.
Partner accounts are able to create and manage number of Device types and Activations.
Once you get the partner account, you will receive Partner ID and Token which allow you to authenticate Partners API calls.
Example: “IoT Mate” as a partner
As an alternative to one-off creation of devices, you are now able to enroll a type of device that you build, sell or integrate, and manage versions of templates to streamline the creation of uniform, same-type devices in the future, either from Maker or your own application.
If you have a Partner account, use Maker to create and manage device types
You can enroll a type of devices that you build, integrate or sell, and manage versions of templates to provide uniform rollout of same-type devices to your field engineers, customers or end users.
Example: “IoT Mate” has enrolled 3 device types
As a partner you can provision a batch of activations. Each activation generates a code that your field engineers, customers or end-users can use to do hassle-free rollout of devices, just as you have arranged it.
